Home Mission

The Home Mission Office sits within the Department for Evangelisation and Catechesis and acts as a point of reference for evangelisation in dioceses, movements and Catholic organisations in England and Wales.

The Home Mission Office exists to help the local Church make the joy of the Gospel a reality in England and Wales. It’s part of the Department of Evangelisation and Catechesis of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.

Home Mission Sunday

Each year in the Catholic Church, on the third Sunday of September, we celebrate Home Mission Sunday.
