As #RedWednesday marks its 10th anniversary, this is a critical moment to act. More than 5 billion people live in countries where persecution, oppression, and discrimination restrict religious freedom, including more than 200 million Christians.

Please sign the Aid to the Church in Need petition now and help send a clear, urgent message to governments and international bodies: Article 18 must be upheld and protected before more people are denied their fundamental right to believe.

Why it Matters

Some 5.4 billion people — almost two-thirds of humanity — live in 62 countries where persecution, oppression, and discrimination are perpetrated by their own government or extremist groups, according to our Religious Freedom in the World Report.

Will you join us in our worldwide call for fresh action by the United Nations as well as the UK Government and urge them to uphold Article 18 of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights. Read the full petition here.
