International Eucharistic Congress: Cebu 2016
Receiving the report from the International Eucharistic Congress held in Cebu, Philippines in January 2016, and responding positively to the exhortation for Bishops’ Conferences to hold National Eucharistic Congresses to enhance and promote the Adoration of the Lord in the Eucharist, and to give witness to our faith, the Bishops resolve to hold a National Eucharistic Congress for England and Wales in 2018.
Week of Prayer for Evangelisation
8 – 15 May 2016
The Bishops’ Conference commends prayers and support for the Week of Prayer for Evangelisation, being observed by the Church of England, in the week leading up to Pentecost.
Courtyard of the Gentiles
The Bishops’ Conference asks the Department for Dialogue and Unity and the Department for Evangelisation and Catechesis to work in partnership to form an initiative expressive of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’s Courtyard of the Gentiles.
This will complement existing efforts in the strategic outreach to those who identify themselves as having no religion.
