Bishop Nicholas Hudson, Bishop of Plymouth, issued a short message after the tragic death of Ann Widdecombe:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Ann Widdecombe at this distressing time.
“I will offer Mass for the repose of her soul tomorrow at noon at Buckfast Abbey.”
