In this episode we read Acts 1: 12-26. Peter stands among his brothers and speaks of Judas’s betrayal pointing out that one man must “take his office” and “become with us a witness to his resurrection”. The choice is between Joseph called Barsabbas (who was also called Justus) and Matthias. Lots are drawn and Matthias is chosen to replace Judas. He takes his place alongside the eleven apostles.
