Nottingham

The Diocese of Nottingham was founded in 1850 and covers the counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland, and Lincolnshire.

The diocese is a very large diverse area with rural, coastal and inner city areas. It is currently working to become more outward-looking and missionary in its sense of purpose and direction. This is achievable by having a strong spiritual foundation based on the three themes of encounter, discipleship and missionary discipleship.

The Bishop of Nottingham is the Right Reverend Patrick McKinney.

Read a profile of Bishop McKinney in our Diocesan Bishops section.
