Today we complete our journey through the Gospel of John.

Jesus asks Simon Peter three times if he loves him. Each time he responds in the affirmative. The third time, Simon Peter replies, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”

Jesus says to him, “Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.”

After saying this, the Lord says to the beloved apostle, “Follow me”.

Reading John in Lent has become Reading John in Easter and concludes on Easter Friday. We are journeying through John using the English Standard Version of the Bible (ESV) to deepen our relationship with the Risen Christ.
