Bishops voice support for Time to Act campaign

Bishop Jim Curry, Lead Bishop for the Holy Land, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, and Bishop Stephen Wright, Chair of Trustees, CAFOD, have voiced their support for the Just Peace Coalition’s Time to Act campaign which launches on Monday 22 June 2026.

The campaign promotes a shared commitment for justice, peace and human dignity, calling for “a just peace for all who call the Holy Land home.” It encourages people to collectively raise their voices, for example by writing to their local Member of Parliament, to speak out against injustice and advocate for change. Day for Life

Day for Life is the day in the Church’s year dedicated to raising awareness about the meaning and value of human life at every stage and in every condition. The Church teaches that life is to be nurtured from conception to natural death. This year’s theme is The Wonder of the Child in the Womb. More information, prayers and downloads.

Joint G7 Statement

Archbishop Richard Moth, President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, has joined fellow presidents of the Bishops’ Conferences of the G7 states to make a series of calls on the leaders who will gather for the 52nd G7 Summit in Évian-les-Bains, Haute-Savoie, France. The meeting will be held from 15–17 June 2026.

In a joint statement titled Building Bridges for Peace, Justice and Human Dignity, the presidents of the episcopal conferences offer the Catholic Church’s “capacity for dialogue, mediation, and accompaniment for the most vulnerable at the service of peace and the international community.” Read more.
