The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, through its Department of Christian Responsibility and Citizenship, today submitted a response to the General Medical Council’s (GMC) consultation on End of Life treatment and care.

Archbishop Peter Smith, chair of the Department of Christian Responsibility and Citizenship, encouraged people to respond to the consultation:

“The General Medical Council (GMC) is consulting on end of life care. We urge a wide response to this consultation both to encourage the GMC where the draft document is good and to suggest changes where the document can be improved.”
