Scripture Seekers

How do we make sense of something as big as the Bible? With 73 books it’s no small read let alone trying to remember even a fraction of some of all the characters.

We’ve created the Scripture Seekers’ series providing a short summary of each book, its purpose and content, and much more to help you see how it fits into the overall picture of God’s plan for the world.

Introduction to the Bible

The whole point of reading and understanding the Bible is to encounter God, understand the revelation he has given us and grow in faith.

The Pentateuch

The Old Testament begins with the Torah - or Pentateuch - which has five books.

The Historical Books

The main purpose of the Historical Books is not to give “scientific history”, but “theological history”.

The Books of Wisdom

In this section, you can read the introduction to the Books of Wisdom. The Books of Wisdom can be split into seven sections.
