Small faith-sharing groups can take many forms – Bible book clubs, Bible and art workshops, Bible and saints groups, Bible and prayer groups, Bible foods and fellowship, Bible and social justice… the list goes on. Over the next few months several group guides will be added here to help you get started in your own parish, school or community.

Bible foods and fellowship:

3 week course or a 3 course meal? It’s up to you! Small faith-sharing groups can take many forms, one of them is to join together in fellowship over food and Scripture. This follows the example given to us by Jesus who regularly ate with his disciples and followers. How you structure your group session will depend on the group composition and the food you’re sharing; below you will find a suggested structure as well as a sample menu to get you started.

Bible and Saints: Follow the Lion’s tale…

St Jerome (Born: c.347 AD, Died: 420 AD) is a key figure in our campaign, he is renowned and praised for his many Commentaries on Scriptures and for his masterpiece, the translation of the Latin Vulgate.

Paintings of St Jerome often include his famous lion who, according to legend, guarded and assisted him in the wilderness after he pulled a thorn from the lion’s paw.

To celebrate St Jerome and his lion we have created a group study resource for adults (based on the article by Fr. Jerome Ituah, OCD) and several activity sheets for children to share St Jerome’s love of Scripture further.
