Listening With Love

Listening with Love is a resource inviting people to reflect on the impact of abuse on individuals and the Church. Although we’re releasing this material for Lent 2021, it can be used at any time. Read more.

National Office for Vocation

The National Office for Vocation (NOV) is encouraging us to listen when God Calls this Lent. God Calls us to himself in a particular way during this special season. Use NOV’s ‘Adventure’ course through the 40 days of Lent to renew your spiritual energy and live this important spiritual season in an intimate journey with Our Lord. More about GodCalls: LENT.

CAFOD

CAFOD, our overseas aid and development agency, has an online calendar for Lent 2021 providing the opportunity to reflect, pray and take justice actions. You can also take part in a 40-day Walk for Water to raise money to help end water poverty. 10,000 steps a day – done your way. Read more about CAFOD’s Lent Appeal in Lockdown.

Caritas Social Action Network (CSAN)

CSAN is encouraging parishes and groups to consider using ‘Unless the Lord Builds the House’, a study course on housing developed by the Centre for Theology and Community with support from CSAN. More about its work on the national housing emergency.

Pray As You Go

You can also use Lent as a heaven-sent opportunity to reflect prayerfully on our recent experience and the difficulties and the possibilities it has set before us. Growing back better – an online Lenten retreat series with Margaret Silf.

Missio

For Shrove Tuesday, Missio, the Church’s agency of overseas mission, has a novel fundraising event – Flipping Fantastic. All you need to do is make a pancake and get sponsored to flip it as many times as you can. Read more.
