Safeguarding goes to the very heart of the ministry and mission of the Catholic Church. Safeguarding is about nurturing wellbeing, helping individuals realise their potential and of course it is about ensuring everyone is safe and protected from harm and abuse. The Catholic Church in England and Wales is working to ensure that everyone in its Parishes and Religious Congregations are competent in safeguarding matters so that we can all have confidence, knowing the young and the adults at risk will be cared for and loved by their Christian community. To this end the CSAS has worked with EduCare to bring you a safeguarding e-learning package which is free to access for every member of the Catholic Community in England and Wales.

All modules are CPD accredited so certificates can be used as evidence of continued professional development.

Please download Towards a Culture of Safeguarding to see the courses available and how to access them.
