World Youth Day: 22-28 July

The second UK pilgrims’ audio report comes from Clive Sheridan, 21, who hails from Peterborough in the Diocese of East Anglia.

He speaks of the inspiring catechesis session led by Cardinal Napier of South Africa and the emotional reconciliation service with Bishop John Sherrington from the Diocese of Westminster.

“Most of us were in tears – we all went to confession.”

WYD @ home

For those young people unable to travel to Rio, there are ‘WYD @ home’ events. There is one in the north and one in the south – the ‘Rio comes to Kent’ Brightlights festival is at Aylesford Priory and ‘Rio’s coming to Castlerigg’ is in Keswick, Cumbria. Both promise to be the next best thing to Rio this summer.
