Diocese

Menevia

The Diocese of Menevia was restored to what is almost entirely its ancient Catholic Diocese of St David’s when the whole of the Catholic Church in Wales was restructured in February 1987.  The foundation of the diocese can be traced back to St David back in the latter half of the 6th century.

Menevia covers Swansea, Carmarthen, Llandrindod wells, Haverfordwest and Port Talbot. Here you can read a short biography of the Bishop the Right Reverend Tom Burns and find out more about the Cathedral Church of St. Joseph in Swansea.

You can also visit the Diocese of Menevia's website.
